Sign on front gate of Hall site advised it was the site for the Charters Towers Day Care Group, which was conducted in the MU Hall at the rear of the property.
The entrance to that hall is visible.

At the time of the photo, the shop was operated as The Charters Towers Thrift Shop. The shop was previously the premises for Friendly Society Dispensary Aid.
