Contribute your stories

Tales of the Towers welcomes additions and improvements to memories and stories of the Charters Towers region. We are interested in items and information that is relevant to the Charters Towers district and its communities.

To contribute an item, recollection or tag you must become a member. There are a variety of ways you can contribute, and all contributions will be subject to approval by the Excelsior Library Archives team. Information will be reviewed for relevance and may be edited, or you may be contacted for further information or clarification. Your contributions will be publicly accessible, so please only share information that belongs to you and that you are happy for anyone on the internet to see.

If you have items you wish to upload, please ensure you are the copyright holder of the item, or they are in the public domain. The types of items we accept are shown below, and the format must be a supported format. If you aren't sure how to upload, or your format doesn't match our requirements, please contact us.

We especially welcome photos and items from the 1960s to current date, showing events in the Charters Towers region.
