Daughter Marjorie Doblo and (Mum) Polly Moon (on right of photo) danced and sang together for a number of years.

The Doblos lived in the stone house in Hodgkinson Street, just down from the intersection with Boundary Street. Home is still there.

At end of season whole cast and extras would be shouted to an after theatre supper at Flash “Antonio’s Cafe”. It was next to the Courthouse Hotel and was later taken over by Aridas to extend their shop.

Was a lovely cafe with lots of glass, with big French mirrors and shell-like lights on the wall. Always a favourite rendezvous for the ‘with-it’ set.
