2. Note from John Teasdale with his concerns of the use of trees and other activities on the heritage of Charters Towers.
3. Gill Street showing remains of Courthouse Chambers building destroyed by explosion. Beside it was George Peace & Sons Butchers, which later became Pool’s Butchers? The building on the other side what was to later become the Victory Cafe. The 2 storey building on left of photo is noted as Golden Grain Cafe. Note on back of photocopy - (explosion damaged building) - 2 storey building with Solicitor/Accountants ?? upstairs and a disgruntled Boot Repairer downstairs - blew his shop up - and took them all with it. Allotment remained vacant for decades. Passage way still standing in photo) led to stairs to upper floor. (digitised Jul 2025)
