Item Typephotograph (digitised copy)Datec1930sContentIsabella Borthwick Aitken married Charles Covington in 1876. They had two children: Jane and William Covington. They separated in the late 1880s. He left Charters Towers, taking Jane with him.

She later partnered Henry Bryant and had Walter Bryant, Charlotte Bryant, Arthur Bryant, John Henry Bryant and Elsie Bryant.
Henry drowned in the Burdekin River in 1899.

Her son Walter and his wife Amelia ran the Anabranch Hotel around 1915. Isabella’s sister Margaret Wasley and her husband ran the Fletcherview Hotel 1908-1910.
