Caption below newspaper photograph:

“A recent reference to North Queensland participation in the Australian amateur boxing championships at Launceston, Tasmania in 1912, resulted in a picture of the team being discovered.

The boxers are:
Front row (left to right) Teddy Reynolds, Hughie Quinn, Jack May and Charlie O’Neill.
Back row : Tom Johnston and George Naughton.

The only survivors are : Messrs O’Neill and Naughton.
Mr O’Neill now resides in Sydney, and Mr Naughton at Ayr.

Messrs Reynolds and Quinn lost their lives on Gallipoli.
Quinns’s Post bears the name of the late Major Quinn.”
